Barbara Martinini is a professional dancer and choreographer qualified at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen/Germany under the artistic direction of Pina Bausch. From 1994 on she has been solo dancer in the Bremen theatre with the choreographer Susanne Linke. With this company she interprets main roles in numerous cities and international events: Hebbel Theater in Berlin, Aalto Theater in Essen, Piccolo Teatro in Milano, "XII Festival Internacional de Teatro" in Caracas (Venezuela), "XVI Festival del Centro Historico de la Ciudad de Mexico" (Mexico), "VII Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá" (Columbia), "SIDance98" in Seoul (South Corea),Theatre of Jakarta (Indonesia), La Filature di Mulhouse, Chateau Rouge di Ginevra, and many more. |
She returned to Italy within the Biennale di Venezia, invited by Carolyn Carlson to create a solo evening: "Morgacqua" ( price winner "Danza&Danza2000"). In 2001 she founded ,together with the actor Dirk Ploenissen, the Giorni Felici Company and has created various performances with which she participates at national and international events. In 2006 she met and cooperated with psychologist and trainer Roberta Mariotti with whom she has produced different coaching programs focused on non-verbal communication (body, view, space, movement, voice) and techniques to improve ones scenic charisma.
